KreWrap™ Single Wound (SW)
All KreWrap™ SW films are designed for a tack heat seal but special film types could be supplied where increased cling is required. KreWrap™ SW material can be slit in rolls of any width from 60 mm to 900 mm in 2.5 mm increments.
Film thickness is measured in gauge where 100 gauge equals 25.4 microns and could vary dependent on film type, application and wrapping method. Most common thicknesses are 10 and 13 microns (40 and 50 gauge) when wrapped by hand or 19 and 25 microns (60, 75 and 100 gauge) when using appropriate machine.
KreWrap™ SW films are available clear, pink or red. Other colours can be made available subject to minimum quantities. KreWrap™ SW films can be supplied with up to 6-colour flexographic surface print.
KreWrap™ Double Wound (DW)
KreWrap™ DW films are available with different cling and sealing properties dependent on application and customer requirements. KreWrap™ DW material can be slit in rolls of any width from 60 mm to 900 mm in 2.5 mm increments.
Film thickness is measured in gauge where 100 gauge equals 25.4 microns and could vary dependent on film type, application and wrapping method. Most common thicknesses are 38 micron (2 x 75 gauge), 43 micron (2 x 85 gauge) and 51 micron (2 x 100 gauge).
KreWrap™ DW films are available clear or in several colours dependent on type (e.g. white, black, amber, yellow etc.). KreWrap™ DW films can be supplied with up to 6-colour sandwich print as well as sealed into tubing.
KreWrap™ PVDC films are monolayer shrinkable films extruded using polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) resin. KreWrap™ material offers exceptional barrier properties against moisture loss, oxygen penetration and ultraviolet (UV) light discolouration.
KreWrap™ films are used throughout the world for the processing and packaging of food products and are suitable for a range of applications including both chilled or sterilized meat, cheese, pet food and poultry.
Alternatively, KreWrap™ films are used as wrapping for cheese, bakery, confectionery or meat products. All these industries benefit from the exceptional barrier and shelf life extension gained by the use of the unique PVDC material.
